AV Counter Service
Over the last few years, MET has worked in collaboration with Facility Services to upgrade a large number of classrooms across campus, including the installation of permanent multimedia equipment. To fulfill AV requirements for rooms without integrated media systems, we also provide a counter service. Clients can pick up AV equipment of all kinds for use in classes and other campus events.

Booking AV Equipment
You can use our online form to order equipment for your course or event. To place an order, you must login with your UWin ID and password. If you need help logging in, please visit the UWin ID Help Page.

Booking: Equipment MUST be booked three working days in advance. Faculty, staff, and students may book equipment for classroom use without charge. Equipment may be booked for non-academic use within the University at a reduced rental rate. Equipment may be rented by organizations not affiliated with the University and for purposes not associated with the University; however, the full rental fee applies. Rates will be provided upon request.
Pickup and Returns: Equipment must be picked up and returned by the instructor or a designate.
Available Equipment: Video/data projectors, overhead projectors, document cameras, small PA units, extension cords, VCRs, projection screens, equipment stands, and laptop computers (for classroom use).
Length of Loan: Equipment booked must be returned at the scheduled time.
Damage and Loss: If damages occur, the user is responsible for the cost of repairing the borrowed equipment. If the damages are beyond repair, the user is responsible for replacing the unit. If the unit is lost or stolen while in the user’s care, the user will be responsible for the cost of replacing the equipment.
NOTE: Do not leave borrowed equipment unattended in the classroom.
Repairs: MET offers a media repair service. The cost is $45.00/hour for labour, plus materials.
Student Bookings: Students can book equipment in person, by e-mail, or fax. Some equipment is not available for student booking. Equipment booked by a student for classroom use is no charge. Students must leave their valid University of Windsor student card with the MET upon picking up the equipment requested for a class. (Students are required to have a letter from their professor to book equipment.) Full commercial rates apply in all other cases. Bookings by a student or student organizations must be prepaid.
Faculty Bookings: Equipment can be booked in person, by phone, by e-mail or fax. Remember that equipment must be booked at least three working days in advance. An email confirmation will be sent.
