Blackberry Smartphone

The Research in Motion (RIM) Blackberry is the leading wireless solution for connecting mobile academics to their e-mail, calendaring, address book, to-dos and the internet. A Blackberry uses "push" technology to keep you up to date - you don't have to retrieve your e-mail or data, it will find you.  At the University of Windsor, the Blackberry has been integrated with Lotus Notes to provide a seamless environment with your e-mail, calendar, address book and to-do list.

Access to preferred carrier rate plans (Telus) are provisioned in cooperation with the Centre for Smart Community Innovation (CSCI) and a number of participants in the Windsor and Essex Smart Community. If you are interested in pricing information, please visit the Smartphones Support site and click on one of the ordering options in the left menu.

The University also offers Apple iPhone, Android, and other smartphone support of synchronisation with Lotus Notes through Lotus Traveller, and the connection of WiFi capable devices, including the Blackberry Playbook and Apple iPad to UWin Wireless. For more information on other supported smartphones, please vist our Smartphone Support site.
