The Notes client is mainly used as an e-mail client, but it also acts as an instant messaging client (for Lotus Sametime), Web browser, notebook, and calendar/resource reservation client, as well as a platform for interacting with collaborative applications, and a development platform (Domino Designer) for developing those applications that can also be accessed on the Web -- without using Lotus Notes.
Examples of such applications include on-line surveys, registration forms for conferences and other events, guest books, document workflow, blogs, etc.
If you or your department has a need for such application, please contact Mr. Richard Dumala, Manager of the IT Services - Web Services Group to discuss your ideas and your options. Also, please visit Web Developers' Support site for additional information.
