Virus Protection General Information
Welcome to the University of Windsor's Virus Protection Website.
There is two-way communication between the OfficeScan server and the OfficeScan clients. Configuration updates, new virus/Spyware pattern files, scan engines and program updates are sent from the server to the clients. In the opposite direction, the client sends status information to the server which can then be viewed within the management console. Additionally Trend Micro has another product called ServerProtect which is used on all Novell servers and many Windows servers within both IT Services and the rest of the campus. If you have an Windows machine that needs to be protected, please contact the HelpDesk to receive a copy and the appropriate licensing information.
