Frequently Ask Questions

1) Where should I drop-off and pick-up my child?

All campers will use the east entrance doors of the St. Denis Centre located behind the Human Kinetics Building (2555 College Ave.). All campers must be accompanied by an adult. In addition, campers will need to be signed-in every morning, and signed-out at the end of the day by their parent/guardian. Photo identification is required. If somebody other than the parent/guardian will be picking-up your child, you must notify staff. 

When you pick-up and drop-off your child, you must park in the U lot. Campus parking enforcement will allow complimentary parking in this lot between 8:00 AM- 9:00 AM, and 4:00 PM- 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. No appeals of tickets received for parking outside of these hours will be allowed. Do not park in the turn-around circle. This is a fire route, and you will be ticketed.

2) When should I drop-off my child, and when should I pick up my child?

Children may be dropped-off between 8:00 AM- 9:00 AM and picked up between 3:30 PM- 5:00 PM for no additional cost.

3) Is there an early drop-off or late pick-up service?

No. We have extended our hours of operation to 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM free of charge. All children must be dropped off and picked up between these hours.

4) How do you take care of medical needs at camp?

Our camp leaders are trained in CPR "C" and First-Aid. They will treat minor scrapes and bruises. If your child has other special medical needs, we ask that you make us aware of them at the time of registration.

5) Should my child bring a lunch to camp? Is there a meal plan?

Your child should bring a snack, lunch and water each day to camp. Should you pack a lunch, please bring a non-refrigerated lunch and remember to not pack any peanut products. Please be aware that there are children with severe allergies to peanut products attending our camps. New meal plan options are available, please contact (519) 253-3000 x. 2455 for more information.

6) What do you do when it rains?

Our facilities allow us to move our outdoor camps inside in the event of inclement weather.

7) How do I know what days my child will be swimming?

Campers will enjoy recreational swimming for 1-hour max. every day in the non-varsity sports camps. Varsity sports campers will be given the option to swim daily, based on coach's preference.

8) What should I pack for camp?

All campers will participate in swimming and other physical activities daily. A swimsuit, towel, running shoes, sunscreen and water bottles are required. Please do not send your child to camp in sandals, crocs, or heels. Also remember NOT to pack items such as trading cards, video games, cell phones, or anything of value with your child. 9) What are the requirements to be a counselor?

The counselors are either current or former University of Windsor Students and Student Athletes. All of our counselors will be certified in CPR C, First-Aid, and have current police clearances.

10) What are the sign in/ sign out procedures? 

On the first day of camp, we require a completed consent and medical form when signing your camper(s) in. To ensure proper sign in and sign out procedures, parents or guardians will receive a pass that will allow free parking between the hours of 8:00-9:15am and 3:30-5:00pm. In addition, we would like to warn parents and guardians that Mondays are significantly busier, so please accommodate for potential delays.
