From Plato's Academy, throughout time and unto today, education was and is an essential cornerstone to a person's life and, some would argue, well-being. The courses and professors I had at the University of Windsor while completing my Combined Honours in French and Classical Civilization inspired me to learn more and to share that joy of learning with others.
After attending the University of Windsor, I earned a Master in Library and Information Science from the University of Western Ontario in 2005. Since then, I've worked in the library industry. Currently I am a reference librarian with subject responsibilities for the Classics, Modern Language and Linguistics department at Concordia University in Montreal. My studies at the University of Windsor have been a great asset to me as a librarian, whether cataloguing books in French, purchasing items to be added to the collection in classical studies, or instructing Spanish students on how to find resources for their essays. Lifelong learning is a core value of librarianship and that became a personal ideal of mine while studying at Windsor!
