New Social Justice Coordinator Named          

Acting Dean Christopher Waters is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathleen Behan as our new Social Justice Career Coordinator. Dean Waters noted “in keeping with our commitment to access to justice, the Social Justice Coordinator will enable the Career Service Office to more fully serve our student body. Students interested in public service, social justice opportunities and other less traditional paths will benefit from this enhanced service and Kathleen’s experience”. 

Kathleen graduated cum laude from Dartmouth with a degree in English. She has a law degree from Northeastern in Boston, one of the top public interest law schools in the US. While in law school, Kathleen completed 3 co-op placements in public interest organizations and also led a team of students who analyzed “college and career readiness” for the Public Education Network. Kathleen has international experience assisting refugees from Asia and Africa and has worked extensively with a legal aid organization providing legal services to the indigent in Michigan.  

Katie, who joined us on August 31, says she's excited to be joining the Windsor Law team in this positon. "I look forward to helping students find career opportunities that will allow them to apply their degrees toward making a difference in their communities.”

Funding for this position is provided by the University’s Strategic Priorities Fund and fees resulting from a student referendum held in 2010.
