Tawfik elected President of the Canadian Association for the Study of Book Culture

Professor Myra Tawfik was elected President of the Canadian Association for the Study of Book Culture/ Association Canadienne pour l’etude de l’histoire du livre at its annual general meeting held at the Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Calgary at the end of May.  

CASBC/ACEHL was founded in 2004 to bring together scholars interested in the study of books and print culture. As a top priority during her three year term as  President, Professor Tawfik will be working to ensure that Canadian copyright archival records are preserved and made accessible to future copyright scholars.
