Student Interning with The International Labour Organization (ILO)

The International Labour Organization (ILO), is a United Nations specialized agency based in Geneva, Switzerland.This summer, Lindsay Craig (JD) will be interning with the organization with the Office of the Deupty Director-General for Policy (DDG/P), joining a small team of senior advisers to the DDG/P and working closely with the Senior Counsellor to the DDG/P.

She will be working under the supervision of Paul Martin Professor Janelle Diller. She will conduct research involving international instruments and the legal and institutional practice of the ILO and be engaged, in particular, in the work of the Secretariat on the evaluation of the ILO Social Justice Declaration at the International Labour Conference 2016 and other matters involving the agenda of the International Labour Conference.

Other tasks are expected to involve the development of inter-institutional arrangements with other international organizations concerning research and the relationship between the pursuit of social justice through decent work and such issues as development, migration, human rights and business responsibility.
