Bike Friendly Windsor Essex is proud to announce the 2016 Bike Summit, a full-day conference to be held at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law on May 30, 2016. The Summit will focus on the theme of “Building Partnerships for a more Bike Friendly Windsor-Essex” and will showcase local cycling resources with discussion on best practices and emerging trends in cycling for healthy communities and economically vibrant neighbourhoods.

The Windsor-Essex Bike Summit will be an inspiring event bringing together decision-makers, practitioners and advocates from across the region and province to learn and discuss strategies for making our roads safer for all road users. The collaborative nature of the Bike Summit will lead to real tangible results, and put cycling firmly on the radar of decision-makers at all levels of City and County government.

Our keynote will be Jean-Francois Pronovost who will share how Vélo Québec created la route verte that is attracting cyclists from around the world.
