Expenses for Mooting Competition

  1. The law school will support the cost of hotel and transportation for all participants.  Whenever possible, students are expected to share accommodations.  Please advise us of your requirements so that we may make the hotel reservations and pre-pay the charges.                     
  2. If air or train travel is required, all reservations are made through Laurie Eisenberg.   We will make the arrangements with LaSalle Travel to insure that the appropriate account is debited for payment. 
  3. Gas receipts will be required for all students driving their automobile.   Reimbursement cannot be made without original receipts.  A maximum of 2 vehicles per moot will be reimbursed.  
  4. A per-diem for Faculty will be arranged with the Assistant Dean (Administration)
  5. The following amounts for meals have been approved for students while participating in the moots:
  • Breakfast             $13.00
  • Lunch                  $22.00 
  • Dinner                 $35.00

     6.  Students must obtain receipts for all other expenses if necessary example: 
          gas and taxi receipts, etc.

     7.  A per-diem will be requisitioned for each member of the moot team.  In this
          regard, please provide the following:

  • An agenda for the mooting event.
  • A list of meals provided by the host organization.

      8.  Please keep in mind that an advance will take approximately 2-3 weeks
           to process, so please allow enough time so students can have the money
           before they depart.  

      9.  Please note that all photocopying is to be performed during office hours. 

      10. Research Students will not be attending the competition.
