Dr. Macfarlane's Research on Self-Represented Litigants in Windsor Star

Dr. Julie Macfarlane's research on self-represented litigants was quoted in the Windsor Star on July 26, 2012.

"Her research, conducted in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, has found that 80 per cent of people in family court and 60 per cent in civil cases now represent themselves. But what is more surprising than the numbers, she said, is the level of "anger and frustration" with the system she has encountered in her interviews."
