The Transnational Law and Justice Network Speaker Series presents Azeezah Kanji, Director of Programming at Noor Cultural Centre, for her talk "Resisting the Rohingya Genocide: Through and Beyond the International Courts."

Myanmar's project of persecution against the Rohingya minority, recognized as genocidal by a UN Fact-Finding Mission, is currently the subject of cases at the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. Based on the speaker's experiences with Rohingya advocacy and attending the recent hearings at the ICJ, this talk will discuss the significance and limitations of these cases in achieving justice for the victims, and explore additional modes of international civil society solidarity with the Rohingya.
