On December 28, 2019 her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, announced 120 new appointments to the Order of Canada.
Windsor Law Professor and National Self-Represented Litigants Project (NSRLP) Director Julie Macfarlane made the prestigious list for her contributions as a lawyer and mediator, and for her advocacy of self-represented litigants.
Professor Macfarlane accepted her insignia during a virtual ceremony held on December 15, 2020.
