Law deans' letter to the community on anti-Black racism

We condemn the recent, senseless violence leading to the deaths of Black individuals in the United States and Canada. We grieve the loss of George Floyd, Regis Korchinski-Paquet, Ahmaud Arbery and many additional Black lives. Anti-Black racism is pervasive in Canadian society, including in its universities and law schools. We acknowledge that there has been a history of Anti-Black racism at Windsor Law. 

Dean Christopher Waters comments on the upcoming building renovations in Law Times

Dean Christopher Waters discussed Windsor Law's upcoming building renovations in the latest issue of Law Times. 

Diamond Schmitt Architects have been selected to redesign the UWindsor law school, with renovations likely to begin in 2020. The school has opted to keep and update its existing on-campus building, built in the 1970s, instead of moving downtown.

Justice Russell Brown delivers keynote at the 2018 Canadian Law Student Conference

The Canadian Law Student Conference, hosted by the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues, welcomed keynote speaker Justice Russell Brown of the Supreme Court of Canada to Windsor Law. 

Justice Brown, who was an academic prior to his appointment and taught at The University of Alberta, Faculty of Law, delivered a lecture on tort law to students and faculty.
