Congratulations Jessica Clement and Jessie Gomberg on winning the 2017 Hicks Morley Cup!

The students were thrilled with the experience and say Hicks Morley put on a great day for them that was collegial and friendly. 

The final rounds of the annual Hicks Morley Cup Moot are held in the Toronto offices of Hicks Morley. The event provides an opportunity for students from Ontario law schools to litigate current legal issues of significance in the areas of human resource law and administrative law.

Congratulations to the Dual JD Team of 3Ls, Adam Fucile and Joseph Tung, who placed first in the Regional LawMeet in Chicago in February, earning them the right to compete in the National competition where they earned second place, outperforming 82 teams from law schools across the U.S. and Canada.

Advocacy Accolades

At Windsor Law, experiential learning is a key component of legal education. 

The 2017/2018 advocacy season began with the BLG/Cavalluzzo Hayes Labour and Employment Law Oral Advocacy Competition in October where students Angela Zhu (2L) and Teddy Weinstein (3L), along with their coach Kendal McKinney ‘00, won first place and brought home the Kitchen Cup. In addition to winning the Cup, Weinstein was also recognized as Top Oralist.

The Zuber Moot provides Windsor Law students with an opportunity to moot competitively and to practice their oral advocacy skills.
