Windsor Law's Dispute Resolution Program

Mediation Services is the first clinical mediation program to be offered in a Canadian law school. It is the only full-service dispute resolution clinic providing free and accessible mediation services to the Windsor-Essex community as a clinical training program for law students.

Mediation Services' Mandate
  • Provide free, high-quality, community-based mediation, conflict coaching and facilitation services to the Windsor-Essex community
  • Empower community members to resolve their disputes themselves
  • Provide opportunities for law students to develop knowledge and skills in alternative dispute resolution

Mediation Services' interns have an opportunity to co-mediate cases such as family and neighbour disputes, landlord-tenant  and other housing conflicts, employment issues, consumer issues, contract disputes, and small claims court matters in addition to specialized programs.
