Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry - Windsor Program

The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario has expanded its undergraduate medical program to the University of Windsor. The expansion began in 2002, and, as of September 2008, the complete undergraduate medical program is being offered in Windsor with the entry of 24 first-year students. The charter class of medical students in the Windsor Program at the University of Windsor were members of the 147-strong class of 2012 of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.

The Windsor program is being delivered at the Medical Education Building on the campus of the University of Windsor, at Windsor Regional Hospital, Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital and at other regional education sites through the Southwestern Ontario Medical Education Network (SWOMEN).

In Fall 2009 the Windsor Program welcomed 30 new first-year students.  The Windsor Program has welcomed 38 new first-year students in Fall 2010.  By the end of the 2009-10 academic year SWOMEN-Windsor will be incorporated into the Windsor program which will bring our third-year students to the University of Windsor campus for medical training.

The 2008 inaugural class of the Windsor Program of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry began their Clerkship year in Fall 2010.
