Admissions Information

All admissions are handled through the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.

The information provided here should be considered as a guideline.

Academic Requirements:  

  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.

  • Have completed or currently enrolled in a four-year honours degree program or equivalent at a recognized university. (If the degree is not Canadian, it must be recognized by the University of Western Ontario).

  • Have completed or expect to complete 20 full or equivalent courses by the end of the academic year (September - April) the application is made.

  • Have completed at least two full academic years (September - April) consisting of five full or equivalent courses (30 credit hours).

  • GPA of 3.75 or above

  • MCAT exam

The University of Western Ontario will invite successful applicants to an interview.  Emails are sent at the end of January to applicants invited and those not invited for an interview.  Interviews are held in March and based on meeting minimum MCAT scores and GPA.

The University of Western Ontario will contact applicants who have been accepted to the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.  First round of offers mailed out May 15th.  Applicants on wait list will be contacted by phone before an offer is mailed.
