Travis Scott is currently pursuing his DMA in Tuba and Euphonium Performance at Michigan State University where he has been the Teaching Assistant for the Tuba and Euphonium studio.
Prior to teaching at the University of Windsor, Travis was a freelance musician and taught private lessons for some of the most lauded band programs in Texas and served on the faculty at Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch, Texas. He is currently the music director of the Capital City Brass Band, and the newly founded East Lansing Euphonium Company.
Mr. Scott is a member of the Blossom Festival Band and is a founding member of the NEOtuba Quartet. Mr. Scott has performed with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, the Dallas Wind Symphony, the River City Brass Band, the Texas Star Brass Band, the Akron Symphony Orchestra and under he batons of Frederick Fennell, Loras John Schissel, Col. John Bourgeois, Leonard Slatkin, Kevin Sedatole, Eugene Corporon, and Robert D. Jorgensen. He can be heard on recordings with the North Texas Wind Symphony, the Michigan State University Wind Symphony, the Brass Band of the Western Reserve, the Cleveland Symphonic Winds Ludwig Music sessions, and on the Lone Star Wind Orchestra's debut recording American Tapestry. He has appeared as a guest artist, soloist, or competitor in Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Louisiana, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and Tours, France
