PROFILE

Acclaimed New York Trombonist Alex Jeun enjoys a diversified career both nationally and internationally. The much sought after musician originally from Windsor, Ontario Canada boasts an impressive playing and teaching schedule.

He has attended McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and Manhattan School of Music in New York City, New York studying trombone.

He has been a previous Grand Prize Winner of the National Jazz Soloist Competition and 3rd place Antti Rissanen International Jazz Solo Competition in Kotka, Finland. His personal style has been well regarded wherever he performs.
Sugartone Brass Band, Stan Rubin Orchestra, The New Lionel Hampton Big Band, The Joe Battaglia New York Big Band, Street Beat Brass Band, Swingadelic, Shinbone Alley Stilt Band, The Yonkers Philharmonic, The Harlem Renassaince Orchestra, The Brooklyn Jazz Orchestra, David Chamberlain’s Band of Bones and Timatha Kasten & Her TKO R&B Party Band.

Recent recordings are with Street Beat Brass Band, Sugartone Brass Band, The Jon Schapiro 17 and the 8 Bit Big Band which are available online.

He has played alongside Franky Valli and The Four Seasons, Aretha Franklin, The Four Tops, The Temptations, and has toured internationally with Phoenix Entertainment's Fame The Musical, The Pajama Game and Spamalot. He was a member of the touring productions of In The Mood, The Artie Shaw Orchestra, Lionel Hampton's New York Big Band and The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.
