Voice Master Class with Reginald Smith Jr.

Reginald Smith will work with a selected group of SoCA voice students during this masterclass.  The public is welcome to sit in the audience at this free event.

Baritone, Reginald Smith Jr., is in Windsor this week as a featured soloist in the Windsor Symphony Orchestra’s season opener “Ode to Canada” on Sept. 23rd featuring Beethoven's Symphony no. 9!  

 

Baritone, Reginald Smith Jr. is a native of Atlanta, GABaritone, Reginald Smith, Jr., a native of Atlanta, GA, is currently a Studio Artist with Houston Grand Opera. Reginald has been seen in operatic performances of Falstaff (Falstaff), La Traviata (Germont), Porgy and Bess (Jake), Romeo et Juliette (Capulet/Le Duke), Carmen (Le Dancaïre), Rigoletto (Marullo), Die Zauberflöte (Sprecher), Die Fledermaus (Dr. Falke), Pirates of Penzance (Pirate King), and Le nozze di Figaro (Figaro) among many others. Mr. Smith has dazzled audiences around the world including the audiences of France, the Bahamas, England, Austria, Ireland, Germany, Australia, and many cities in the United States. He has performed with several orchestras including the Houston Symphony Orchestra, Lexington Philharmonic, Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, Owensboro Symphony Orchestra, Johnson City Symphony, the Evansville Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Pops. Mr. Smith has been a reward recipient in the George London Foundation Competition, the Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition, the district and regional auditions of the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions, as well as first place in the Orpheus Vocal Competition and the National Opera Society Competition.
