The Sound of Silent Leadership
This is a light-hearted talk about the peculiarities of conducting as an art form and as a career. I will touch on my personal background, the circuitous path that brought me to the podium, and the not-so-mystifying way in which a conductor works with an orchestra to bring music to life.
Maestro Jackson will conduct the WSO in the POPS concerts “John Williams’ Greatest Hits” Nov. 2,3,4, 2012 at the Capitol Theatre.
