Odette debaters rank at Stanford

This past weekend Odette's Debate Team traveled to Stanford University to square off against more than 30 teams from Universities across the US; where currently Odette is the only Canadian team admitted to the exclusively Ivey League American Debate Circuit.

Odette debaters – Alyssa Atkins, Peter Guba, Ankur Karnik, Will Kruger, Andrew Moukled, Moe Murtadi and Mike Ruffolo – were victorious in about half of their debates against competitors from NYU, MIT, and Chicago, among others.

Most impressively, Odette received two citations at the competition:

• In the Novice Teams, Alyssa Atkins & Andrew Moukled came in 5th overall.
• In the Novice Speakers, Alyssa Atkins came in 4th overall.
