International Exchange: Learn while you travel the world!

The Odette School of Business has developed a broad range of student exchange partnerships with universities and post-secondary institutions from around the world. Currently we have business exchange opportunities with institutions in 12 foreign countries, including eight countries where courses are taught in English.  Alternatively, an international exchange provides students the best way to learn a new language and we offer exchanges in six countries where courses are taught in a foreign language.  View a complete list of international exchange partnerships for business students.

Students who participate in exchanges invariably report that it is the single most valuable part of their university experience.  An exchange allows you get to know another culture first-hand.  In a global economy, cultural differences are more than language and appearances.  To truly understand a culture, one has to learn their beliefs, values and customs.  Learning to relate on a human level to other cultures will ultimately help you relate to other cultures on a business level as well.

Top reasons to go on international exchange

  • Travel the world while you learn
  • Satisfy your intrigue of another country
  • Make new friends around the world
  • Experience the “global economy”
  • Experience foreign culture and language
  • Enhance your employment experiences

How does an international exchange work?

Normally, students go on exchange for one or two semesters after completion of four or more semesters of study.  No tuition is charged by the partner institution, as students continue to pay their University of Windsor tuition while they are away.  Some financial assistance is also available.  Course credits obtained on exchange are applied to the University of Windsor degree requirements (as appropriate).
