INFORMATION PARTICIPATION SHEET

Congratulations and thank you for offering to be part of the University's largest cultural event.   The event is a celebration of diversity and offers an opportunity to promote awareness of different cultures.

Display Tables

  • Space is limited
  • Every attempt will be made to provide you with the amount of space your display will require
  • Tables are 8 feet long and some groups will share a table
  • Please provide your own tablecloth

Set Up/Take Down

  • Please have your display set up by 10:30am
  • Please do not take down your display until 3:00pm
  • Displays must be staffed at all times

PowerPoint Presentations

  • No outlets will be provided for tables
  • Rather, PowerPoint presentations will be collated to play throughout the day on a scheduled rotation on one screen in Commons Area
  • If you want to display a presentation, you must submit your PowerPoint slides to nations@uwindsor.ca no later than February 21, 2012, to allow time for collating
  • Presentation must not be more than 5 minutes in length
  • The Celebration of Nations Committee reserves the right to edit your presentation for inappropriate content and length
  • Sound will not be provided

Best Display Prize

Displays will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Hospitality - Were students staffing the display courteous?  Did they invite others to their display?  Did they answer questions?
  • Cultural Sharing - Did you learn about the culture of this display?  Examples: posters, books, traditional clothing, etc
  • Creativity - Was the display original, eye-catching, etc?
  • Interactive - Did the display include audience participation such as games, food, demonstrationis, etc?

 

All participants will be awarded a Participation Certificate
