Purpose:
The Office of Human Rights, Equity and Accessibility (OHREA) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the annual OHREA Awards. These awards have been designed to recognize and celebrate the contributions that have been made by individuals and groups to advance human rights, social justice, diversity, inclusivity, employment equity and accessibility at the University of Windsor.

Essential Criteria:
Individuals or units/groups/committees may be nominated for an award. The OHREA Awards Committee is looking for demonstrated evidence and specific examples of contributions at the University of Windsor. The criteria used for the selection process will include, but are not limited to:
- A demonstrated dedication to human rights, social justice, diversity, employment equity and accessibility;
- Contributions made to improve and promote human rights, social justice, diversity, employment equity and accessibility at the University;
- Fostering a culture of inclusivity at the University.
Eligibility:
All members of the University community are eligible to be nominated for the awards. This includes students, faculty, staff, retirees, alumni and volunteers. Persons outside of the University (who contribute to the advancement of human rights, social justice, diversity, employment equity and accessibility at the University) may also be nominated.
How to Nominate an Individual or Group:
Nominations may only come from staff, faculty, students, alumni and retirees of the University. To nominate an individual or group for an award, please complete the online form at uwindsor.fluidsurveys.com/s/ohrea-awards/ no later than October 31st. Each nomination form must be signed by a nominator and be accompanied by two (2) letters of support (maximum 1 page in length).
You cannot self-nominate. When nominating a team, the nominator cannot be included in the list of members of the team. For example, a manager may nominate his/her team but his/her name cannot appear in the "list of team members" listed in the nomination.
