Joanna Sweet received her B.A., M.A., and LL.B. from the University of Windsor, and her Ph.D. from Carleton University. Her research focuses on the intersection of religion, politics and the law in Canada. She is currently researching the impact of debates over religious laws governing the family on discourses of Canadian national identity. As the MA Internship Coordinator, she organizes and oversees the MA internship placements and supervises the final papers of the students in the internship stream.
