Governance

The support of governance is critical to the success of the University of Windsor, and everything possible must be done to ensure that the Board and Senate have the information they need to make the decisions that come before them. Changes to the Board of Governors must be managed effectively so that the Board remains qualified and engaged. In these respects, my goals of previous years remain timely and relevant, although I have added to them in light of the provincial budget.

1. Continue to place a focus on maintaining a constructive and good working relationship between the administration and the Board
    
2. Continue to work with the Board to assist in the recruitment of new Board and Board Committee members
    
3. Assist the Board as needed as it continues to develop best practices
    
4. Work with relevant committees of the Board as appropriate as the province directs a review of how universities manage pension fund assets
    
5. Continue to pursue a collegial atmosphere at Senate
