Partnership with Supply Chain Management Association Ontario

Supply Chain Management Association Ontario (SCMAO) and University of Windsor have reached an agreement that will provide an efficient path for graduates of the university’s Master of Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management Program to pursue their Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation – at a faster and more cost-effective way.

Today’s global market demands skilled practitioners to support the management of complex supply chains.  SCMAO’s designation program meets this need and equips those seeking to launch or accelerate their career with the necessary skills to work at a management or executive level.

Many designation holders find having this designation helps them progress within their career and contribute at a strategic level within their company.

In 2008, during an employment transition, I noticed many senior-level procurement positions mandated the CSCMP designation. After researching the association, I discovered a few advantages that peaked my interest: access to cutting-edge techniques and networking opportunities, standardized modules Canada-wide, Continuing Professional Development programs, In-Residence Week and Designation Reciprocity in the US.  For these reasons I chose to pursue accreditation to open doors of opportunity and equip myself with transferable knowledge. I knew employers were looking for highly-skilled supply chain professionals to join their workforce and I wanted to be one of them.    Matthew Carter, Manager, Global Supply Chain, Cogeco

As a graduate of the Master of Management - Logistics and Supply Chain Management program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 70%, you will be exempted from the following SCMP program components – a savings of approximately $4,700.

  1. Module 1: Supply Chain Management
  2. Module 2: Procurement and Supply Management
  3. Module 3: Logistics and Transportation
  4. Interactive Workshop 1: Leadership and Professionalism
  5. Interactive Workshop 3: Communication and Relational Skills

About SCMAO: Supply Chain Management Association Ontario (SCMAO), along with its National (SCMA) and Provincial partners, constitute the leading professional association representing over 7,500 members across Canada.

SCMAO awards the Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation under the authorization of provincial legislation and is responsible for standards-setting, accreditation and the continuing professional development of its members.  For more details, please visit www.scmao.ca
