This course-based program will enable you to examine philosophical orientations, theoretical frameworks, and research methodologies relevant to the study of educational administration, policy and leadership in a Canadian and international context. The program objectives will be accomplished through the completion of nine courses, followed by the capstone course, the Final Project Seminar. This graduate program will allow you to develop your skills and knowledge to enhance your professional practice.
You will study and live in Canada for 16 consecutive months. This program includes 10 prescribed courses completed over 4 terms.
Master of Education students are required to take a 6-week Pre-graduate Preparatory Program prior to starting the degree in September. Students must be in Canada by mid-July to begin this program.

Confirmation of successful completion of a Bachelor of Education (or equivalent) from an academic institution approved by the University of Windsor. Applicants with a four year honours degree in related fields may be considered.
Evidence of having obtained a cumulative grade point average in the B range overall and at least a B standing in the last two years of your academic studies (when converted to Ontario standards).
Demonstrated English proficiency by meeting or exceeding a 7.0 score in the IELTS test or a TOEFL score of 100 (ibt).
Note: English programming is available if you need extra training prior to entry into the academic program or have received lower than the required test score. A supplementary Academic Writing course may also be required.
Three letters of reference (should address the applicant’s ability to engage in academic work and scholarly study).
A successful interview with a representative from the University of Windsor may be required.
A personal statement discussing why you wish to do graduate studies in the area of educational studies and how it fits into your plan for entry into the workforce as a working professional and / or scholar.
Enrolment is limited. Preference will be given to candidates who exceed the above minimum requirements and those who have at least one year of successful professional experience in education.
