

Once again sessions are scheduled to assist faculty, staff, heads, deans, PTR commitee and UCAPT members in preparing and understanding promotion, tenure and renewal application materials. You may choose to attend either session by using the online registration form https://web2.uwindsor.ca/ucapt/ptr/sessions/register/form.php). The sessions will be held as follows:
Monday, August 29, 2011, at 8:15 a.m. for coffee/tea and snack, meeting to begin at 8:30 a.m. and to end by 12:00 p.m. in Room 203, HEC (Toldo building) (Register);
OR
Tuesday, August 30, 2011, with lunch to be served @ 12:00 noon, meeting to begin promptly @ 12:30 p.m. The session will end by 4:30 p.m. The location of this session will be 203 HEC (Toldo) (Register);
Please note that the PTR sessions held on both days are identical and one needs only to attend one of these sessions.
The sessions will cover a review of the PTR process from beginning to end, including the responsibilities of the PTR applicant, the Head, Dean and the PTR committee members. Updated versions of the UCAPT PTR documentation, PTR Resource Materials and committee membership will be available in July.
The documentation required for promotion, tenure and renewal is organized similarly to last year; the process will remain the same and is governed by Senate Bylaws 22, 23A and 23B and Articles 5:31, 5:32, 12 and 13 of the WUFA/University Collective Agreement.
