Booking Resources

The department provides two shared research spaces in the psychology department, which are available for members of the department to book for research projects.

► Psychology Computer Lab, Basement Chrysler Hall South, Room # 63

The computer lab has 12 PCs (note: researchers should evaluate whether all or only some of the machines are suitable for their research tasks). The computers have internet access, and are loaded with office, statistics, and research software (Media Lab, Direct RT).

The priority for use of this room is teaching (statistics labs, exams, etc.), and some hours are set aside for general use by graduate students. The lab is available for booking for research at all other times. Depending on demand on the lab during terms, researchers may be limited as to the number of ‘prime hours’ (between 10am and 5pm on weekdays).

► Chrysler Hall Tower 15:

This space is comprised of two rooms. The outer room is a large open space with flexible seating (stacking chairs) suitable for group events such as focus groups and small seminars. The inner room is a small, private space suitable for placing one to three people depending on the task. The inner room is well suited for managing activities that are occurring the outer room. Each room contains two computers which are similar to those described under the ‘Computer lab' above; making a total of four machines available. These rooms are booked together – due to their proximity, they cannot be used by separate individuals.

The priority for use of this room is group events.

This room is booked by emailing psycpool@uwindsor.ca, putting “CHT15 booking request” in the subject line, and then describing the booking request.

Access to both rooms is via electronic key card, and is arranged through the psychology department staff.
