After examinations, professors/instructors are required to submit all grades to their Dean for approval through the eGrade Submission System.
As described in Senate Bylaw 51.1.12, unofficial grades for a course shall be posted and submitted to the Dean no later than seven calendar days after the final examination of the course has been written, except in the Faculty of Law. In cases where there is no examination slot, unofficial final grades must be posted and submitted to the Dean no later than seven calendar days after the close of the examination period. In the instance of December final examinations scheduled within the last seven calendar days before the University closes for December recess, unofficial grades must be posted and submitted no later than the second working day following the December recess.
After approval from the Dean, grades are uploaded to the Office of the Registrar system .
The Academic Standing Committee of each Faculty reviews the academic records of students at the conclusion of the Winter term each year and makes decisions as appropriate in light of cumulative and major averages achieved. As soon as your grades and academic standing are official at the end of the term, the last date to appeal a grade will be posted in the Important Dates section of the website. Grades may be appealed up to 3 weeks following the date grades are deemed official.
This process should generally be complete and therefore a completed record be available for viewing on the Student Information System by:
August 1 - Intersession
September 13 - Summer Session
January 17 - Fall Semester
