Part-time Application Instructions

Your original documents and official transcripts must be forwarded directly to the Office of the Registrar. Official transcripts are either sent directly from the institution or bear the institutional seal.

A $50.00 application fee is required and must be paid either online at the time of application or if you are paying by cheque it should be mailed to:

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS (and Evaluation fee, if applicable)

All Applicants

1. An official transcript from your previous secondary school or an original certificate showing completion of secondary education, including grades obtained, is required. [e.g., Ontario Grade 12, British Columbia Grade 12, General Certificates of Education.]
2. Official transcripts sent directly from any post-secondary institutions attended are required. [e.g., University, CAAT, CEGEP]. A $50.00 evaluation fee is also required for the evaluation of these transcripts for the purpose of granting transfer credit. Applicants eligible for this consideration include those who have completed a course(s) at a recognized university, or who have completed at least a  two year program at a CAAT, or two years of a CEGEP. Non-degree applicants are exempt this fee. Course descriptions for all courses completed at a non-Canadian post-secondary institute are also required.

Note: An official certificate confirming a name change is required for any applicant presenting documents issued under a prior name.

Applicants applying under the Mature Student Policy

Applicants who do not meet the minimum academic requirements for admission to the University of Windsor may be eligible for consideration as mature students if they:

1. are Canadian citizens or permanent residents at the time of application,
2. will be at least 20 years of age prior to proposed date of enrollment,
3. have completed an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSS) or equivalent, (Applicants who have not completed an OSS or equivalent must submit a profile.)
4. have not been in full-time attendance at an educational institution within the previous two years.

Applicants must submit proof of age and official transcripts from their secondary school(s) and from any post-secondary institution which they may have attended. In addition, they must submit a letter of application outlining their career ambitions and why they expect to be successful in university studies, their work experiences, personal and professional development and training, and any other pertinent information, along with supporting documentation (where possible).

Visiting Students

In place of required transcript listed previously, any applicant wishing to attend the University of Windsor as a visiting non-degree student is only required to submit this completed application form
and a letter of permission from the home university.

Applicants for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing for Registered Nurses.
In addition to the above documents, applicants for these programs who have graduated from a School of Nursing in the last five years, must send a Form 2 and Form NR to the Director of the School of Nursing from which they graduated. The Form 2 and Form NR will be forwarded to you upon receipt this application. The original or certified true copy of the current College of Nurses Registration Certificate must also be submitted as well as current valid Certificate in CPR at the Basic Rescuer level. They will be returned by registered mail as soon as it is recorded. In addition, a letter of recommendation from the most recent employer must also be forwarded. If an interview is required, you will be informed of this at the time your application is initially reviewed.

Applicants for the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Education Programme.
All applicants for this programme must contact the Ontario Universities' Application Centre for the appropriate admissions package. The deadline date for submission of the application and all supporting documentation must be received by February 1st.

International Student Applications

All students whose native language is not English, must have their knowledge of the English Language assessed prior to admission by completing ONE of the following:

1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
   You must write to the TOEFL Education Testing Service

2. Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB).
   You must contact the English Language Institute at the
   University of Michigan
