Within residence you will find both full time professional and para-professional staff whose main responsibility are the students in residence.
Residence Life Coordinator (RLC)
- responsible for the operation of residence communities
- responsible for the day-to-day management of the buildings
- maintaining high standards of group living
- individual counselling and training
- supervision of the Residence Life Staff (see below)
Judicial Board Coordinator (JBC)
- 8 month student position
- assists with the administration of the residence discipline system
- administers the residence Judicial Board hearings as the Residence Life representative
- completing data entry and discipline related paperwork
Community Assistant (CA)
- one CA for every Residence Life Coordinator
- assist with programming and staff development within their assigned residences
- assist the RLC's where required
Resident Assistant (RA)
- upper year students who provide support to students living in residence
- RA's live on every floor in residence
- student staff who live in the residences who make up a large component of the Residence Life Staff
- maintain a positive atmosphere with a desirable balance between academic and social activities is one of their main objectives
- provide residence activities and are available to respond to questions and concerns
Resident Assistant-Academic (RA-A)
- upper year students who provide support to students living in residence
- one RA-Academic in every residence building
- make up a large component of the Residence Life Staff
- maintain an atmosphere with a desirable balance between academic and social activities is one of their main objectives
