Residence Life Staff

 Within residence you will find both full time professional and para-professional staff whose main responsibility are the students in residence.

Residence Life Coordinator (RLC)

• responsible for the operation of residence communities
• responsible for the day-to-day management of the buildings
• maintaining high standards of group living
• individual counselling and training
• supervision of the Residence Life Staff (see below)

Judicial Board Coordinator (JBC)

• 8 month student position
• assists with the administration of the residence discipline system
• administers the residence Judicial Board hearings as the Residence Life representative
• completing data entry and discipline related paperwork

Community Assistant (CA)

• one CA for every Residence Life Coordinator
• assist with programming and staff development within their assigned residences
• assist the RLC's where required

Resident Assistant (RA)

• upper year students who provide support to students living in residence
• RA's live on every floor in residence
• student staff who live in the residences who make up a large component of the Residence Life Staff
• maintain a positive atmosphere with a desirable balance between academic and social activities is one of their main objectives
• provide residence activities and are available to respond to questions and concerns

Resident Assistant-Academic (RA-A)

• upper year students who provide support to students living in residence
• one RA-Academic in every residence building
• make up a large component of the Residence Life Staff
• maintain an atmosphere with a desirable balance between academic and social activities is one of their main objectives
• are available to respond to questions and concerns
