In a success story that spans 41 years, University of Windsor graduate, Richard Peddie has dedicated his life to inspiring entrepreneurialism, leadership and innovation.  From the basketball court to the corporate boardroom to the lecture halls of the Odette School of Business, Richard has been the leading philanthropist at the University supporting student success and opportunity.

He has attributed his success to both classmates and professors alike, taking the lessons he has learned to a full-time time passion of inspiring University of Windsor students to become the leaders of tomorrow.

In recognition of his generosity and commitment to excellence, the Richard Peddie Leadership Initiative has been created in his honour at the University of Windsor in partnership with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd.

The Richard Peddie Leadership Initiative will facilitate this through the following three elements:

A Centre for Leadership Competency Measurement - A new centre dedicated to the promotion of leadership competency, its measurement and direct student engagement.

A Leader-in-Residence Program - Richard will potentially be the initial incumbent. Richard will also deliver guest lectures and be available for small group mentoring, and skills development exercises.

Richard Peddie Invitational Speaker Series - The speaker will be either a well-known practitioner or well-known academic presenting on leadership, management and measuring success, with the delivered speech printed and bound to allow for distribution.
