Allison Christ

Chemistry and Biochemistry

Allison Christ"Experiencing the diversity of a large university while maintaining a small community feel in terms of support and familiarity."

Allison Christ, winemaker at Colio Estate Wines, began fostering her skills in winemaking with an Honours B.Sc. in Chemistry & Mathematics from the University of Windsor. Following harvest experience in both small and large winery settings, she obtained a President's position at the Windsor Essex Chapter of the Ontario Wine Society.


Christine Daly

Earth and Environmental Sciences

Christine Daly"My degrees gave me the theoretical foundation and hands-on-experience, through field courses and field work, to land my dream job right out of university."

Christine graduated with B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences and M.Sc. in Biological Sciences from the University of Windsor. She is a Senior Technology Advisor at Suncor Energy Inc. Christine's work supports the transformation of the oil sands industry into a sustainable business that integrates indigenous knowledge, culture and values into landscape reclamation.


Jaclyn Slaney

Forensic Science

Jaclyn Slaney"I love working for an organization that promotes education, and encouragers research, partnerships with universities and the implementaion of new and exciting practices and equipment as they arise."

Jaclyn graduated with a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences and B.F.Sc. in Forensic Science with a chemistry specialization from the University of Windsor. She works in the Forensic Identification Unit of the Toronto Police Services. Her main focus of work is investigation, developing fingerprints through chemical and physical methods.


Dr. Zal Phiroz

Computer Science

Zal Phiroz"My career was shaped primarily due to my time at UWindsor. Learning how to problem solve, and fine tuning strategies to succeed as a student, while in a very challenging program, gave me an advantage career-wise."

Dr. Phiroz graduated with a B.C.S in Computer Science, and B.Sc. (Hons) in Comp Information Systems from the University of Windsor, M.B.A from Wayne State University, and Ph.D. from the University of Cape Town in Supply Chain Management. He founded Pier Consulting Group, and held senior roles at Procter & Gamble. He has held faculty appointments at Harvard University, and has spoken at TEDx and UN Canada.


Ashley Kasurak

Biological Sciences

Ashley Kasurak"Helped me pursue the areas I was most interested in - that's where you'll flourish and succeed."

Ashley Kasurak graduated with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biological Sciences from the University of Windsor. After completing her graduate degree, she worked at Jamieson Laboratories as a Regulatory Affairs Associate and was then recruited to be a researcher for the next five years. Ashley currently works as Product Development Manager of the supplement line at Viva Naturals.


Winston Fortowsky

Mathematics and Statistics

Winston Fortowsky"I loved how the small class sizes allowed me to be mentored by my professors and how my best friends. Surround yourself by people who share your passion."

Winston Fortowsky, graduated from the University of Windsor, with a Bachelor of Mathematics, and Masters in Economics followed by a Masters of Risk Management and Regulation. He is currently working at Capitol One Canada as a Senior Business Analyst, creating predictive models about customer cash flows in order to allow automated approved and declines on applications.
