About Us

Welcome to the School of the Environment at the University of Windsor!  Environmental scientists and specialists study the composition and structure of Earth; the physical, chemical, and biological processes that shape Earth and the environment; and human impacts on the environment.  Working in a diversity of disciplines, we strive for a future where the quality of life for all living organisms is acheived by sustainable, ethical, and responsible means.

Our comprehensive undergraduate Environmental Science and Environmental Studies degree programs provide knowledge and skills in both core and applied subject areas, while providing flexibility to enable students to pursue their individual interests or prepare for a wide range of careers.  We also offer a graduate program in Earth Sciences (M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels).

Located at the heart of the Great Lakes region, we are at the centre of one of the most environmentally and economcially important regions in North America and the World, where education and research in climate change, environmental assessment, ecosystem function and health, sustainability and resource management are making a difference.
