Master's Qualifying Year

Students with a four-year bachelor's degree in a subject related to Physics or students with a three-year bachelor's in Physics or students with insufficient preparation in upper level physics courses may be admitted into the Master's Qualifying Year (M1). These students may complete the prescribed six courses during the fall and winter terms of the M1 Master’s qualifying year.  Students who successfully complete these six courses with a minimum mark of 70% in each course will advance to the M2 MSc – coursework year.  If an advisor agrees to supervise the student, an M1 student may advance to the M2 MSc – thesis or major paper option.
