|
G. BRENT ANGELL is a Professor and Director of Social Work at the University of Windsor. Since joining the University of Windsor in 2003, Dr. Angell has continued to build his research interests focused on social justice and anti-oppressive practice with a particular emphasis on First Nations. He is renowned for his direct practice research and publications, which concentrate on critical perspectives on therapy and cross-cultural practice. Dr. Angell currently is engaged in funded research initiatives associated with indigenous youth at-risk and the victimization of school-age children. He also serves as a consultant and trainer to a broad constituency on topics related effective practices, organizational development, and institutional leadership. Of note, Dr. Angell is Chair of the Canadian Association of Deans and Directors of Schools of Social Work (CADDSSW), a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Schools of Social Work (CASSW), and is the Editor of the online periodical Critical Social Work: An Interdisciplinary Journal Dedicated to Social Justice. | ||
