Biography
MARY KAY MORAND has over thirty years of social work experience across service sectors of youth justice, mental health, addictions, education, housing and employment. She has worked in mental health centres, hospitals, clinics, schools, residential and custody facilities in both front line and managerial capacities. She has clinically supervised large social work and multidisciplinary teams, and for the past eight years has thrived as an Executive Director of a multiservice organization servicing children, youth, families and communities.
She has fostered key partnerships across service sectors to maximize services and opportunities. As a result she has been successful in securing millions of annualized dollars for specialized clinical programs she designed and implemented. Several of these programs are now provincial models.
Mary Kay participates in a number of community and provincial initiatives, tables and advisory boards. She has presence locally and provincially and she is a strong advocate for integrative, inclusive service delivery. As a sessional instructor at the University of Windsor since 2009, she has taught a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate courses and has supported social work internships throughout her career.
