Undergraduate Programs

Our Department has five exciting programs to offer you as an undergraduate student, in:

» SOCIOLOGY /Major and Minors/

» ANTHROPOLOGY /Major and Minors/

» CRIMINOLOGY /Major/

» FAMILY AND SOCIAL RELATIONS /Major and Minor/

» STUDIES IN SEXUALITY /Minor/

Each of these Programs offers a selection of required and optional courses taught by excellent instructors. Our faculty maintain strong research records and stay at the cutting edge of their fields of expertise. The generation of ideas and interests across our four programmes means an interesting and dynamic education for you.

Undergraduate students have the opportunity to receive guidance with studying, study groups (running them/how to run them), course scheduling, time management, understanding & applying theory, navigating through Leddy Library journal articles, streamlining to plan your academic future (master’s, Ph.D, law school, etc.), reference letters, personal statements, locating proper on/off-campus resources and other aspects of campus life.

What we don't do: Help/proof-read specific assignments or group projects; that is for your G.A. and/or professor.

The application deadline for admission into the MA Sociology, MA Criminology and Sociology Ph.D (Social Justice) programmes for the 2013-2014 academic year is January 31, 2013. Applications may be considered after the deadline based on space and availability.
