A new monthly online publication will provide information on healthy living, customized specifically for UWindsor students.
"We know that student success and satisfaction is dependent upon multiple factors, beginning with the personal health and wellness of each individual student," says Brooke White, executive director of Student Development and Support.
Her office has partnered with the publishers of Student Health 101 to adapt its content for Windsor. Senior nursing students Toonna Khamvongsa and Jodie Rivard, completing their community clinical placements, provide information on health, wellness and lifestyle events taking place at the University of Windsor, as well as links to campus and community resources.
Students will receive a new edition each month, covering issues from healthy eating to preventing sexual assault, from stretching a budget to the benefits of after-class activities.
"Our interest in their well-being prompted us to ensure that students have this resource that supports multiple aspects of student life," White says.
