UWSMRS hires new volunteers every September. We will occasionally do a spring hire for medics to begin working in the fall.
To be a member of UWSMRS you MUST:
- Have a VALID Standard First Aid and CPR-BLS and AED certification from a WSIB recognized organization. Please keep in mind that for our organization, CPR-BLS is considered current one year from the date of issue. Standard First Aid is valid as indicated on your certification.
- Be a student of the University of Windsor, in any program.
- All applicants who are accepted MUST submit a clean Vulnerable Police Record Clearance check.
If you are invited to move on in the hiring process, you will attend an interview where you will answer basic interview questions, write a Standard First-Aid test, and demonstrate basic First-Aid Skills.
Upon completion of the interview, successful candidates will be invited to Fall Training where, if successful, they will be offered a spot on UWSMRS.
