Honours Math and Computer Science

The Mathematics and Computer Science combined program is offered through our Faculty of Science and provides students with the opportunity to explore topics in both math and computer science.

Program Description
Our programs include a core of rigorous courses in mathematics and statistics designed to give you a solid foundation in the theory and techniques required to enhance critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills. You will appreciate the beauty and ubiquitous application of mathematics.
You will enjoy exceptional access to faculty and individual attention due to small class size. You will have access to opportunities to engage in undergraduate research. Beginning second year, you may have the chance to work one-on-one with faculty on research during the academic year through the Outstanding Scholars’ program, and during the summer you can compete for NSERC undergraduate summer research awards.
In computer science, our programs will prepare you to take your place in the technology industry or in research and academia. Software development, network and system analysis continue to be the top jobs with steady growth projected through 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations.
