(5-year Concurrent Honours Modern Languages with Second Language Education (Intercultural Stream)/Bachelor of Education)
This is an ideal degree for students interested in working in an elementary and junior high school setting (up to grade 10) with recent immigrants who have special educational needs. This innovative course of studies will enable you to understand in depth the process of teaching and learning a second language (English as a second language, French, etc.).
The four-plus-two-year degree, designed to be earned in only five years, is structured to incorporate one or more additional teachable areas to make it even more versatile.
Minimum Admission Average: 75%
Admission is to first-year only with a minimum high school average of 75% in six Grade 12 "U" or "M" courses including Grade 12 "U" English. Students must successfully complete the Bachelor of Arts degree program to be eligible to graduate with a Bachelor of Education degree.
