Academic Dates:
The following includes the academic dates for both undergraduate and graduate programs.

2007 (January - December)

January 3, 2007University offices reopen.

January 8All classes begin, day and evening. Field work begins in Social Work.

January 19Last day of registration and change of course for Winter term courses, day and evening. Last day for full tuition refund.

January 26Last day for completion of all requirements for graduate degrees under Phase I (100% tuition refund).

February 1Final day for application to Level 3 in Social Work.

February 2Last day for reversal of incidental fees for course withdrawal.

February 16Last day for completion of all requirements for graduate degrees under Phase II (50% tuition refund).

March 1 Last day to file application for Spring graduation.

February 26 to
March 2
Study week for all faculties except Consecutive Bachelor of Education. Field work continues in Social Work.

March 2 University offices closed.

March 16Last day to withdraw voluntarily from courses. After this date students remain registered in courses and receive final grades as appropriate. Last day for partial tuition refund.

March 30Deadline for recommending an external examiner for a Ph.D. oral defense on the last day for Spring Convocation.

April 6Good Friday (statutory holiday) (no classes)

April 8Easter Sunday

April 13Last day of classes, day and evening, except Consecutive Bachelor of Education. Field work ends in Social Work.

April 16Winter term final examinations begin, except Consecutive Bachelor of Education.

May 1Intersession, 12-week session, Summer Session and Summer Co-op fees are due.

May 14 Intersession, 12-week session and Summer Co-op terms begin. Consolidation begins for the Faculty of Nursing.

May 18Last day for late registration and change of course for Intersession. Last day for full tuition refund for Intersession courses.

May 21Victoria Day (statutory holiday) (no classes).

May 23Last day for oral defense of dissertations, theses and major papers for Spring Convocation.

May 25Last day for registration and change of course, 12-week session and Summer Co-op. Last day for full tuition refund for 12-week session and Summer Co-op courses. Last day for reversal of incidental fees for 6-week Intersession courses.

May 30Last day to deposit dissertations, theses and major papers for Spring Convocation.

May 30Last day for completion of all requirements for graduate degrees under Phase I (100% tuition refund).

June 8Last day to withdraw voluntarily from Intersession courses. After this date students remain registered in courses and receive final grades as appropriate. Last day for partial tuition refund for Intersession courses. Last day for reversal of incidental fees for 12-week and Summer Co-op courses.

June 13-15Spring Convocation.

June 22 Intersession classes end.

June 25Intersession examinations begin. Mid-term break for 12-week and Summer Co-op.

June 29Last day for completion of all requirements for graduate degrees under Phase II (50% tuition refund).

July 2Observance of Canada Day. University offices closed.

July 3Summer Session classes begin.

July 9Last day for Summer Session late registration and course changes. Last day for full tuition refund for Summer Session courses.

July 23Last day to withdraw voluntarily from 12-week session and Summer Co-op term courses. Last day to receive partial refund for 12-week session and Summer Co-op term courses. Last date for reversal of incidentals for 6-week Summer courses.

July 30Last day to withdraw voluntarily from Summer Session courses. After this date students remain registered in courses and receive final grades as appropriate. Last day for partial tuition refund for Summer Session courses.

August 1Last day to file application for Fall graduation.

August 6Civic Holiday (statutory holiday) (no classes)

August 10Last day of classes for Summer Session, 12-week session, and Summer Co-op term.
