The new Centre for Engineering Innovation (CEI), currently under construction on the southwest corner of Wyandotte Street and California, will house the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Engineering. The 112 million dollar 300,000 sq. ft. facility will include the CEI Industrial Courtyard enabling partnerships with community businesses/ industry.

The CEI will be the largest Gold certified Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building in the region. LEED is a nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.
Designed by B+H Architects, the CEI incorporates a green roof, water recycling, low-energy heating, bio-filter wall, and other sustainability systems. It will be a living building, where students can learn from the electrical, mechanical, civil and environmental engineering systems displayed throughout.
Kevin Stelzer, Design Architect for the CEI project is a strong supporter of the VABE program and has taken part in student studio critiques.
