Downtown community welcomes UWindsor campus plans

Residents and merchants were excited by the University’s plans for its downtown campus during an open house Thursday at the Windsor Armouries.

Four artists with ties to the University of Windsor’s School of Visual Arts have teamed up to open a working studio in the city’s downtown.

Krysia Bussiere is a member of the first class to graduate from the Visual Arts and the Built Environment program.

UWindsor president Alan Wildeman unveiled preliminary architectural renderings for the downtown campus Wednesday, April 17.

The LeBel Building hosts an exhibition of projects by students completing their first year in the Visual Arts and the Built Environment program.

The charter class from the Visual Arts and the Built Environment will exhibit their work at the Lebel building this evening.

Architects renovating the armouries unveiled their design options for students, faculty and staff who will use the building at a weekend workshop.
